Things to do in Courtown
Beach, woods and harbour within a ten-minute walk, and enough around them to fill a weekend.
Where to start
For a small village, Courtown gives you a lot of choice. Swim off a sandy beach, walk shaded woodland trails, meet rescued seals, play a round of golf or just take the harbour at your own pace.
The beaches
-

Courtown Beach
A long stretch of fine sand in the middle of the village, backed by dunes and woodland. Lifeguards through the summer season.
-

Ballymoney Beach
Ten minutes north, one of the finest beaches in Wexford, wide and quiet, made for a longer walk.
Courtown Woods
Mature woodland behind the beach, with easy well-surfaced trails for most fitness levels. Start at the beach, loop through the trees and you're back at the harbour for lunch.
Seal Rescue Ireland
The only seal rescue centre in Ireland, right beside the woods. Take a guided tour, meet the pups on their way back to the wild, and hear how they got there. Booking ahead is essential.
